 Stretford
plays host to a number of seasonal
activities in the town and surrounding
parks.
These include the well established
Stretford Pageant, held in the fourth week
of June every year, whose highlights
include a colourful and lively street
parade and a week long range of events to
raise money for charity, culminating in
the crowning of the Pageant’s Rose Queen,
Princesses and Rosebuds and a funfair at
Longford Park.
There are also a number of activities
organised by the Friends of Victoria Park
as well as seasonal events in the town
centre and within Stretford Mall,
including brass bands, lantern making,
fireworks, Christmas carols and Santa’s
grotto.
