Parks
There are parks near to the town, the
closest being Victoria Park which hosts
seasonal events and other activities. Another well known park further away is
Longford Park described in the Landmarks
section and Moss Park.
Attractions
The Stretford area is home to the two
world known Old Traffords -
Manchester United and
Lancashire
County Cricket Club together
attracting millions of visitors each year,
not only for great sporting events but
also conferences, concerts, corporate
events as well as parties, weddings and
balls.
Also within Stretford’s boundary is the
Imperial War Museum North,
architecturally renowned and unique in the
north west.
The Bridgewater Canal is adjacent to
